How does it work?
Professional potter Flo (founder of Florence Mytum Ceramics) will bring her materials to your venue of choice and teach you the how to work with clay using the pinching technique. Flo will help you to sculpt your own bowl, espresso cup, mini plant pot, trinket dish or whatever your heart desires.
Hand sculpting clay is incredibly mindful and is a great way to switch off and explore your creativity in the comfort of your own home, workplace or location of choice. The workshop is a really inclusive activity, suitable for all ages and abilities. The relaxed atmosphere means its really easy to chat, eat and drink, whilst also giving everyone a shared focus and your own creation to keep at the end.
If there’s something specific you’d like to make - e.g. candleholders for the hen’s wedding tables - just let Flo know beforehand, and she will happily tailor the workshop to your request.
After the workshop, Flo will take your masterpieces back to her studio to glaze and fire so they’re ready for use. This is not airdry clay, it's real ceramics meaning your creations can be kept and used forever. Flo will send all of the finished pieces to one UK address at no extra cost, about 4-6 weeks after the event. If you need them sooner, just let Flo know and she'll do her best to accomodate.
